How to use OEM Microphone for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?
For now, our BMW Android screen support to use OEM microphone for CarPlay/Android Auto, this will enhance the sound quality of phone calls. Compare to use Android screen 's built-in MIC, or aftermarket external MIC, the original car Microphone with much better sound quality. But, there are two questions:
1) How to use it? Below is the wire-diagram and setup.
Step 1: Please select the "external microphone"and factory microphone option in the settings (factory password : 070305).
Step 2: Please remove the protective hose from the MIC IN connector on the ISO harness and connect it to the MIC IN on the USB harness.
2) Does all models support this new function? NO!
(1) The model with 8.8 inch screen, it NOT support OEM MIC.

For the X1 E84 (No OEM screen) and 3 series E90 (No OEM screen) &
Z4 E85 without OEM screen, these models are not support OEM MIC.
Some cars that is too old or without OEM microphone itself,
it not support this functions.
